No GM? No Problem
Calamitas is GM-optional, which means you can play even when no one feels like running the whole show. Narrative control is shared, decisions stay collaborative, and the game keeps moving without putting one person on the hook for everything.
Use Toon Logic to Break Rules
Calamitas gives you Logic Points: a way to bend physics and twist outcomes using toon logic. If it’s clever, surprising, and makes everyone at the table go “sure, yeah, that tracks,” it can become a real mechanical advantage.
Player-Generated Worldbuilding
There’s no preset lore to memorize. Your group invents the universe as you play. Dice rolls and player imagination establish where you start, then everything else grows through collaboration. One campaign might begin in a monster-infested shopping mall. Another might open in a floating castle run by sentient ducks.
Corruption Points Encourage Sabotage
Corruption Points let players interfere with enemy actions and each other’s plans. The result is a table full of surprises, quick pivots, and chaos.
